I have or had one of those pruning sticks and loved it until the bottom metal on the pruner part broke off last year. I bought it a few years ago at Home Depot and did not think about the lifetime...

Not sure why yours required you to ship the product back - but for mine, all I needed to do was email them a photo of the damage and the model number and they sent a replacement to me for free.

Bought this a while back. The pruner is good but the saw is very flexible and has poor teeth. Difficult to work with and started bending after one tree. I returned it for a sturdier saw.
