Also, back to the pricing for a sec: Best Buy and HH Gregg are both sold out for good from what I understand, and they sold out at nearly full retail... Walts was last listed at $1,799 for the...

Paul's TV has the entire Mitsubishi Diamond Series at the cheapest they've ever been to my knowledge. These are the 842 series, the highest end non-laser DLP series Rear Projection Televisions that...

I do have those bose stands too. might have to reconsider since paultv only bundles the 82 tv with the 73 stand. I would end up paying full price for the 83 stand if i take the 82 tv.

If I never use 3D would the C12 model of the 73" be a better choice?

I am very confused by this comment. The store is not helping you with a MFG warranty. I have found Mits customer service to not be the best, but by no means are they horrible.

Sorry about that... I completely missed your post. The C12 is a nice TV, I know a lot of people who are very happy with them. On paper, the only difference between the C12 and the 642 is 3D...

I found a place where the C12 is 650 dollars cheaper, but the C12 is discounted 3 times as much as the 642, so that's why it's so skewed. The 642 on this site is actually 200 more than the Diamond...

Yeah, I saw the Dell price (it's actually coming up as $950 + tax for me, so $997). As you mentioned, it has gone for $799 before, and I've seen the 642 for $899, however I'm not sure if Mitsu has...

No update for the 2011 models either and now doubtful any updates at all. I wonder what the "current" emitter is or if they have a current bundle even. I went with the the Diamond or the 842...

I hope to have my basement finished in a few months. I will be buying a DLP once I do. Seems you cant beat the price/size of a DLP, and from what I hear, the PQ is great. Then I will have: ...

Yes as the bulb ages the picture can and will dim somewhat over time. Nothing else in picture quality will change and with a new bulb the TV will be like brand new again. However your samsung LCD...

Just curious about the viewing angle on today's DLP. I never bought one but my relatives did maybe 5 years ago. The PQ is decent but I noticed the viewing angles were horrible. I'm not...

Yup, this is correct. Retailers will continue to carry parts as well. Also, there is a large enough population of these TVs out there that the aftermarket will continue production as well,...

Is there any motion blur on these, especially with a game like call of duty?
Post #56798340 added 01-11-2013 7:09 PM by prodigy79 in Archived Deals
None! That's actually one of the huge advantages of these... LCDs are the only technology that has motion blur issues. DLPs are completely immune to burn in as well.

I'm confused about the 3D options. I have the 73642, which has "3DTV (VESA Jack and DLP Link)" and does not have an "Internal 3D Glasses IR Emitter". I take this to mean that I have to purchase an...

That was my understanding for DLP's, that by just changing the bulbs and cleaning the mirrors would help PQ infinitely, but that is not the case. No matter what I did with my DLP, it just never got...

^ agreed, overall the dlp overall isn't superior over a led or plasma but its only because of the size / price it's the reason people still buy it. That average cost to own a dlp will eventually cost...

I just recently purchased the 73 inch bundle. It came Monday and I must say the TV is excellent. The picture is gorgeous and the size is amazing. I know some don't like DLP but all I know is the...

I put together a little back-lighting solution to add some much needed ambiance behind the television to reduce eye strain while watching movies in the dark. :) I use the dimmest setting for 6500K...

As of 6:44, the 82" are gone. I just called and missed them. And, they've been taken off the website.

Nicely laid out deal. I'm just sorry I found this late. I knew/dreamed there would be a sale on these before they were gone--I was just planning on having more money when it hit.

I just built the 83" stand and it does have a center support on the front. The bottom and middle glass shelves are not as thick as the top. I left off the feet also and hope the spacing is enough...

iRabbitt is right. You don't know what you are talking about. Unless you sit about 5-6 feet away from a 92" 1080p TV, your eyes can't discern the pixels. DLP for rear projection is dead not because...

I'm just bummed out that they're not going to make them anymore. Almost tempted to burn the $1400 and get the 73842 and mothball one of my LCD sets. Can't understand the validity of the "OMG, its...

Either they work for competitors of Mitsubishi, or they're tv salesmen who got tired of people walking in and buying the inexpensive DLP sets. Sales people can't stand it when people are rational...

The 73642 was on sale at Paul's TV for $949 (with the gift cards bundle) about a month ago or so. Is the picture on this TV so much better that it's worth 55% more in cost? I don't really need the...

I found your answer. Yes, the 3D for these (and all 1080p active 3D sets) is 1080p. The passive 3D televisions give each eye a half an image, however the active shutter glasses give each eye full...

Vizio made a 70" plasma? I'm not too familiar with any 70" plasma manufacturers.
