Thanks OP. Repped. THe only thing that concerns me about these travel presses is I wonder if the coffee will turn bitter if it sits in your cup for too long. Is there a 'valve' of some sort that...

Not as great a deal since the base price is $16 instead of $18 and the price is $10, but there is another travel press here that looks pretty much identical to the one that's out of stock.

I got one from last bundle deal with the French Press and this other similar travel press. The French Press works super great but this Travel Press is a joke in comparison. Don't get it. Coffee...

In for three (two are for tea). Thanks OP. For those who haven't used one before, the bitterness tends to stay at the bottom below the mesh. Whiners who complain about this simple, effective...

Heat leaves the cup pretty fast, so it's not too bad. The vacuum stainless ones keep the coffee hot and also very bitter for a longer period of time.

2/3 of reviews on amazon are 4 or 5 star ???
Post #56726814 added 01-08-2013 10:39 PM by drdiaboloco in Archived Deals
Precisely. Or, if you wish, only 1 in 5 is less than 3 stars. So the reviews aren't exactly glowing, but "crappy"? Nah.

They just left a message saying they are out of stock and my order is cancelled. I ordered two.

Wow, what a comment. For starters, since you're constantly sipping from this, the bitterness will continually be mixed in with the rest of the liquid as you turn it to drink. While a french press...

I used to own one of these. Used to. I purchased it for about the same price just to use it as a press at home. Every time I poured the coffee into a regular mug after making it, there would...

I saw these on clearance at Wegmans for, I think, around $5. I kept trying to convince myself to get one, but as others have mentioned, it seemed inevitable that the coffee would be bitter, since...

This is a good deal, best price for a french press I've seen, but I wouldn't expect it to last a long time with daily use. Some of the amazon reviews reported cracking due to hot water, but I'm sure...

It is. Anyhow, OOS or not, I prefer the one with rubber accents available in several colors (including a white/orange one from Starbucks).

I am not going to comment on this item because I've never owned one, but at least one Bodum press I own (actually a large model, which is okay) has the following rule due to the inadequate length of...

fact is the longer the tea or coffee is in the water the more bitter it will get. Great idea if you need a cheap single press, but I wouldn't drink out of it if you care at all what your beverage...

I have one and it's fantastic. Definitely beats regular brewed coffee.

This is the one I got. it okay but expect some coffee grind to come thru when "pressing" the coffee. Maybe this model is better?
