Granted this specific model and cost may be a good deal but.. There is always something to be said about getting a larger screen monitor. (27" or 30") For $650 you can get TWO 24" screen....

It was near Yongsan station, one of the stores on the first floor. I shopped around and most were within $15 of each other for the 27" monitors. I went with the cheapest one since I could.

Been using a u2713hd since September. Best 27" ips you can buy, especially for media and gaming. If you buy a factory reject panel via eBay you're gambling like a fool and accepting low quality.

Have you used one? Because the picture quality rocks. It is an LG IPS panel used in other high end 27" monitors. There aren't that many companies that make 27" 1440p panels. It is a quality panel...

Sure, their value in relation to the picture quality is pretty high. But they still don't even hold a flame next to the Dell (especially the U2713H, not the HM) in regards to picture quality.

Its a inherent flaw in the way ips panels are manufactured which makes for high defect rates. The bigger the screen the higher the chance of defects which accounts for the large number of 27" rejects...

Yeah, that's bunk. You can get 23's and 24's in IPS for low-low-prices nowadays, but 27's are still crazy expensive (excluding the Korean makes ones). Monoprice and Microcenter don't really count...

Yup, no one makes 27" 16:10 panels. I just picked up a Yamakasi 30" (16:10), same panel as the u3011 in the Yongsan electronics market for hundreds less than this 27". It's a beauty.
