First thing i look for in a deal for cameras is whether its an authorized dealer, irrespective of brand. Save $100 on a $2000 camera from a random seller....fail.

If i was in the market I would buy a refurb from Cameta for 1659 with a one year warranty. At least it is a US version.

When someone on Craigslist tries to sell their gear make sure to get a valid receipt.. the warranty may not transfer but at least you know it's a US bound model that they WILL service.

Agreed. It's one thing to save $10 on a grey market 50mm 1.8 if you figure a $100 lens is disposable if it breaks, but no way would I give up warranty coverage on the D600.

The Nikon D600 has a very widespread problem with dust and oil spots accumulating on the sensor.
I wouldn't touch one without Nikon's warranty with a ten foot pole.
