is it okay if my confirmation email or invoice/sales receipt shows three other purchases when I am submitting my rebate? wouldn't it kinda make it obvious that I am just going for the free...

No, they would not deny just because you ordered 3 of them. But do not mail them together. and do not forget to circle correct item in each invoice.
