Curious as to how you did this OC? I know the Vaio S uses a modified BIOS but I can't seem to find it anywhere for this machine.

I got the laptop a few days ago. With a few tricks I overclocked the 640M LE to 1000MHz (from 500MHz stock) on the core and 1340MHz on the memory. GPU stays about 80C when gaming, and never goes...

How hard is it to install an SSD or more ram? From the pictures, it doesn't seem like there are any panels you can easily remove. Do you have to take off the whole bottom?

Yes, and Disconnect 2 or 3 small ribbon cables. Though, I was able to upgrade the ram just by cracking it open enough to pop the old RAM out and the new chip in. No disconnect required.

80C = 176F. Yikes! No lap for this laptop, with both CPU & GPU at that temp no less.

That is not normal for a GPU to go up to 80C. Probably the laptop cover starts throwing out smoke at that rate.

There's nothing wrong with the temp for a laptop. Laptops usually run significantly hotter than desktops. It's still nowhere near a dangerous operating temperature.
