The video out is not a limitation of the dock but rather of the tablet itself. The Nexus 7 will not output video. Period. not with a cable, not with an adapter, not with a dock.

Yes, you have to remove any case before it will connect and charge. If you can wait, this dock should be available from most resellers over the next week.

If it had video out or was a lot cheaper I might be pursuaded to forgo the case but this just isn't compelling enough for me.

When I think of how much goes into the Nexus 7, $200 seems pretty reasonable. When I think of how much goes into a dock, $30 seems like a joke.

I would agree. My experience with these guys is that they claim to have stuff in stock when they really don't. They are not very good about updating you on delivery times either.
