Ahhh the uneducated...... This drive has 1/3rd the life of the previous gen 830 series and is SLOWER, YES, 1/3rd the cell writes due to the cheap TLC cells. This drive will last about 2 years...

830 was better than the 840, problem is that 830s are no longer being produced and most websites have delisted them. You can still find them, they are just not as readily available.
