For the stuff you're doing, a good video card and CPU is more important. An ssd just going to help you load faster but does not process the photo/video files much faster than a hdd.

+ whatever, I also agree with people saying that the 840 (not pro) is not a bad SSD at all. It is not the fastest out there, but it is cheaper and plenty quick.
