For those who have a problem with Origin: basically you're paying for the key. Just copy it and register on the game's website (which you'll have to do, anyway) and download the client separately...

origin's store is based on your location, you could vpn into a US ip address and get the deal, or have a friend/family member in the states buy it for you

Also, if you use Origin - Go in to your browser and disable their ESN browser plug-in (spyware) when you aren't using Origin. Otherwise it slows your browser down. Just a tip.

That's Ubisoft's fault. Most games on Steam don't have any external launchers or DRM. This is exactly why I don't buy EA or Ubisoft games on PC anymore.

IMO for this game it doesn't really matter which download service you use, it's like WOW and League Of Legends in that once you download the installer, it runs a patcher and you'd never need to open...
