Obviously 24p mode wont be adding any frames - my original comment was that 24p mode not that important for me, because I like the mode(dejudder) where it adds frames and has the soap opera effect....

No THX on the ST. However, THX is mostly for convenience if you just want to use it out of the box. You can find custom settings on the net for the ST50 and adjust to your taste

Both CNET and some experts on AVS have said the ST/GT's 60Hz mode is almost indistinguishable from the VT's 96hz mode. Both handle 24p content very smoothly.

More frames the better. To me soap opera mode looks more realistic and fluid. Moreover, it tends to reveal crappy cgi very readily - probably forcing movie companies to perfect their craft.
