"LED" means LED backlit LCD for todays TVs. The sets with local dimming (thicker, more expensive) will looks better than LCD TVs, the edge lit sets (thinner) don't really have an advantage and...

It doesn't matter. It just needs to be 100 hours total. Or, I'd recommend closer to 200. There are various methods of doing it. Some people just run a bluray on a loop for a few days.

Awesome TV. I picked one up a few weeks ago and the glare is a bummer, but damn, it's a sweet TV.
