hook it up to the fuse box , find a fuse that goes off when the key is removed , like the radio power, then you do not have to remember to unplug it and it will not kill your battery overnight

Yup, car charger for cell works, the other heated seat cover I had in my car (not an amazon product) works. The seat cover is just bad. Thanks for the suggestion though.
