there is some point to point in some places you will really need to talk to your new neighbors to see what works, also see if there are any small businesses near you and see what they use.

We have had a local WISP provider for about 3 years now. Small antenna is mounted on the roof. Latency does range from 40-80ms. No data caps or throttling. Couldn't be happier.
