Treat these Onkyo receivers like cel-phones....use them for a year, then dispose of them and move to something new. These just aren't built to last. You'll probably be lucky if it doesn't crap out...

haven't messed with too much Onkyo stuff since the late 80's but was looking for a network receiver for around $200 for a customer and was able to grab this 822 complete open box

Good deal, I got the NR-509 last year for this price. The NR-414 is the direct replacement. My 509 is still running like a champ! I use it as an HDMI switch because my TV only has 1 HDMI port!
