I had a laptop like this. You get used to not having a keypad and realize how infrequent you use it. However, if you're doing accounting with this laptop, then yes steer clear.

wish it didn't come with a useless DVD drive. Could have been another 0.3-0.5 lb of weight saved. If you going to put a drive on there, make it blu-ray or none at all....

1 big thing is Win 7 vs 8...The Samsung does have a numeric keypad.. 15.6" vs 14.1", 4 USB ports vs 3.... don't see that this has a backlit keyboard -that was the seller for me on the Asus!!!!

got mine today --- it's a nice looking laptop!!! Got it connected to my wireless, had great signal so far! Got McAfee off, Bing toolbar and Google Chrome.... what else 'safely' can I remove????
