It doesn't have anything above 1". For sizes smaller than 1/2" you can use drill bits. So this set is not as useful as it looks.

I own one and have used it. Nice set of spades. The holder is made of metal and is nice, but the 1/4" bit slips out every once in a while. worth it, if you're on the fence.

Will this work on PVC pipes? As long as I keep it nice and slow maybe using water for cooling will it work? I need to make holes to put a bulk head to diy filter for my fish tank.

I've heard spade bits work better with impact drivers, but I've never tried it myself. If you're not looking for precision drilling, I don't see why it would be a problem.

Just picked mine up today willy nilly. Really good bits. I've had a smaller set (of bits) (drill bits) (ugh drill bits for wood) before this.

I should mention that an auger drill bit does not loose it's edge near as quickly as a traditional drill bit does when working with wood. Lasts much longer.

I guess you could, but it will damage the drill bits and mess up the hole you are trying to drill.
