no, unless you buy a SATA->mSATA converter cable/adapter (i don't even know if those exist...) everyone goes from mSATA->SATA, but not the other way around

Post #57353562 added 02-04-2013 9:06 AM by navajo in Archived Deals
However, if I bought one of those ASUS Vivobooks for a present and need a drive quickly as this is a present, this one is good for the price. I doubt the Samsung 840 will go back on sale in the next...

I think it's practically impossible for it not to support TRIM.
Post #57387830 added 02-05-2013 2:05 PM by juntistik in Archived Deals
Yeah, Dead :(
Can I pop it open and use it as mSATA drive?
Post #57354236 added 02-04-2013 9:28 AM by AkumaX in Archived Deals
Nope, just regular SATA (2.5", 7mm height - with the case) agreed! its a new 2013 drive, but any decent SSD upgrade will be leaps above any hard drive

Well, I bought my own, so I know how big it is. Or were you talking "out of the enclosure"? It's definitely lighter than my ocz.

How does this compare the Samsung 840?
Post #57353142 added 02-04-2013 8:52 AM by AkumaX in Archived Deals
Personally I'd get the Samsung 840 based strictly on performance (slightly better), but the Ultra Plus is a very special SSD :D (which is why I'm getting it :bounce:)
Post #57355920 added 02-04-2013 10:23 AM by Bobby_Pro in Archived Deals
You wont notice the difference unless you're putting it under extreme conditions of testing. At this price, it is killing 840.

In for one SSD, plus 2 Rosewell Wireless 300 adapters. Upgrading a WD Green boot drive and wireless G. Time to re-do the HTPC with a speed boost in both HD and WiFi.
