Dumb Q I am sure but - Will this tell me the output of a USB adapter? Some USB adapters won't put out enough power to charge iPads, etc. and I have always wanted to be able to test them.

This is a good deal. I bought it last time it was frontpage for around $12 but I would buy again at $15 if I needed one. This is better than the cheap HF ones. I have several of those.
