Anything under 5lb memory foam is just junk, there's no support as you go right through it. You don't want to be going through the memory foam and actually sleeping on their super cheap regular base...

3" of 4lb memory foam means that if you are an adult and weigh more than let's say 50lbs, your body will go right through the memory foam and you will mostly be sleeping on regular foam base layer...

I purchased the Walmart version for $399. It's pretty warm, and has no support at the edge of the bed so it probably works better inside a frame with hard sides. The firmness is good.
