Most of the issues are due to firmware, flashing the router with dd-wrt and tomato fixes the issues. Mine hasn't had any problems after 4 months.

This router gets dismal reviews on newegg (only 2 'stars'). Most people say it is NOT really gigabit throughput at all. Plus it is NOT Simultaneous Dual Band, so, unless you are only connecting one...

Only difference is one has gigabit wired chipset, the other doesn't. They both have mediocre range and stable operation with Tomato/DD-WRT. I wouldn't pay $29.99 for an F7D8302 with the F7D8301 going...

After flashing it with tomato or dd-wrt, is this router still support simultaneous dual band? In addition, which version of tomato or dd-wrt should i download?
