Why is newegg not accepting returns for it ? was it some kind of special promo or is that how they treat all SSDs ? Does this mean that even this drive can't be returned ? Coupon not active yet .....

Money isn't really an issue, I just don't want to overkill it with too big of a SSD or too much memory when I'm not really going to use it. I would rather pocket it and spend it on food :D

Once you installed the Magician Tools, you will find how to update the firmware. Don't use the CD that comes with the drive to install. The new version 4.0 came out recently that you can download...

this really needs to stop getting on the front page. every week there's a store with the 840 on "sale" for 150.00... at this point, it might as well be considered NORMAL price. I hope I dont see...

Agreed. If everyone stops buying these TLC Nand drives at last year's prices we might actually get some positive movement in the prices of bigger/better drives. Ugh.

It does come with a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter. Some of the newer cases actually have 2.5" mounts, so either way it should work. If not, pick up what you need later. The adapter should screw right into the...

I've had that for a few years and the investment has paid off with piece of mind with fast and easy install. I know just enough about PC upgrades to get in trouble. I've used it at least 4 times so...

They are... just slowly. I bought my first 128GB SSD for $280 about 1.5 years ago or so if I remember correctly. EDIT: maybe closer to 2 years ago. Still, big difference from today's prices.

Never had issues with neweggs customer service. 30 days gives you plenty of time to try it out. Either way, samsung drives are usually very reliable and their RMAs are quick
