I've been going around in circles for the last month looking at TV's. Just couldn't bring myself to pass up on this deal. I'm sure I could find it cheaper in a few months, but I'm sure by that time...

I stopped reading here, as I'm pretty sure the majority of us discovered a while ago that the difference between 60 and 120 mhz is a joke. But I've done my research, feel free to do your own.

You've got that backwards. Viewing angles on plasmas are basically the same as old CRT tvs. LCD/LEDs are the ones you have to concern yourself with viewing angles.

120Hz isn't a "slick" marketing term, it's a real hardware spec. LG has been cheating for ages. Their sets are 60Hz sets that simulate 120Hz through flickering the lights. People aren't bent out...

Wait, what? You may have that backwards. Plasma doesn't suffer from angle-distortion at all. LCD is what can distort even when viewing just off-center (outside of IPS screens). I did forget...

That's pretty subjective but most put plasma above LCD (/LED) given similar quality panels. It's mostly because of the better blacks compared to LCD/LED and don't suffer from the light leakage. ...
