If they cut R&D to zero, and released the same TV's with reorganized features - would we really be that worse off? I don't see build quality suffering. In terms of losses, they're minimal compared to...

All I want to know is if the ST60 will be less prone to IR than the 2012 Panny plasmas. Seeings as it has been reported to use the GT50 panel, would it be safe to assume no?

I do not believe the panels are the same on the ST and S models. The ST offers the "infinite black" and the S does not. One site I read stated "The blacks are roughly 20% better here than on models...

I dont't care about 3D, so 65 over 60 is no brainer. What I would like to know is whether they are using the same type of glass panel for 2D As 3D. It was not the case for 2012 models.

I'd like this info too. Watching TV with glasses doesn't really appeal to me. If the panels are of the same quality (black levels, color accuracy, etc) I'd be very happy with the S65 model.
