Depends how you use the tablet. Most of the time I spend using my Nexus 10, I have it propped up in the case. I really wish the Nexus 10 had a built in kickstand like Surface Pro.

I got the Pro and it's really great. Scrolling and resizing is smoother on the Surface Pro than it was on my TF700T (which I sold today) running Jelly Bean.

I can see this as the ONLY laptop I would need to get a case for. most laptops, you close the lid and that's it. now with this you have to worry about protecting the exposed screen on the top side.

Do you ever use it in your lap? That is my big hangup with the surface... can't picture trying to use the kickstand in my lap, and I don't like craning my neck down at tablets.

It actually depends upon if you want to use the keyboard, or on-screen keyboard. You can put the kickstand out and fold the keyboard underneath. That gives a really large surface (no pun intended)...
