FYI, Sateen is almost always made of cotton (very rarely Rayon). It is woven in such a way to make it softer & shinier. You are confusing Sateen with Satin.

You CAN have have good sheets that are 300TC. It all depends on the quality of the threads. These just happen to be cheap sheets. They're comfortable enough, just too thin.
