I bought 4 of these in 2011 for my nephews. They are med - light rods. The reels are decent but the rods are 2 piece and on the cheaper end (plain metal guides).

I see what you are saying, that they don't make them like they used to. Hope they last a few trips at least. I prefer spinning reals myself but still occasionally take a cast with the old Zebco.

not as good as they used to be mostly plastic parts for reels now but for $10 not bad and should be able to get at least 1 year use out of it
