the JBL's are more efficient (easier to drive them) than the Pioneers and will also play louder. Your amp will drive the JBL's nicely.

That receiver is not near 200 watts/channel. Your welcome!

I would have said thank you if you had been at all helpful. But instead you'd rather be an arrogant prick. http://www.amishrakefight.org/gfy/

Would these speakers be a good match for a Yamaha RX V571 amp?? I currently have a pair of Pioneer SP-FS51-LR which are ok but I'm wondering how much of a step up these JBL's would be. My pioneers...

I am torn between JBL ES 80, JBL Studio 190, Polk 65T and Sony SF7000 for fronts. They all come in $130-$150 price range. Not Sure which one is best among them, was not able to find any comparison...

I'm still waiting for you to let me know how many surround receivers out there are 200 watts/channel.....but instead, you decide to send websites with vulgar language. I wish Slickdeals wouldn't...

What do you consider "a more powerful amp" since your Yamaha is "only" 100 watts per channel?
Post #57655104 added 02-18-2013 6:25 AM by jd990 in Archived Deals
I'm not suggesting that 100 watts per channel is anything to sneeze at. On the contrary it's been plenty used with my current Pioneer speakers. But I've read more than one reviewer stating that...

I assume this is for surround sound and not for 2-channel music, since your Yamaha is multichannel? If so, what surround sound receiver/amps are out there at 200 watts/channel?

I think Denon 4311ci - clearance at$999 BB is a right choice.

I take it this your rather roundabout way of saying that my Yamaha RX-V571 receiver is adequate for driving these JBL's?? A simpler and non-condescending way of answering my question would be to say...
