If I'm not mistaken, it comes standard with all Network Refurbs. Similar to when you call in an insurance claim and they send you a "new" phone. They're always refurbs but they do have that warranty....

Yup. It should work with all SIM-based carriers. Verizon will not work but all other major carriers would read it.

please read carefully "kunckle head"... this particular cellphone is locked to AT&T therefore the law applies. it has nothing do with if you bought a contract.
