If you go to "Tech Specs" tab here, scroll down and you'll see Panel Type: In-plane switching No HDMI or DVI cable though. Don't get me wrong though - I like my 2311xi, it's nice.

I agree - maybe it's a loss-leader for Dell, so they want it out there to bundle with PCs, but don't want to draw too much attention to it or undercut their Ultrasharp sales (?). Who knows.
