the 18-200 allows you to not have to carry around 2 lenses and switch 'em. This all helps keep dust out, and maybe dropping or scratching of lenses when changing.

The T4i adds some AF for video, but more importantly all AF points are cross-type which are far more sensitive. If the price difference isn't that much I'd suggest going for the T4i for the better...
