Wolf does have nice build quality to match the price. I personally went with Orbita rotorwind, due to their unique advantage. The rest of the winders like sharper image and ebay winders are garbage...

I currently use this Windsor-Double winder and both watch cushions have been chewed up and don't hold watch securely.

Well there's always that little crown on the side of the watch to wind it... I would'nt give you a wierd look unless you had five on each arm. And only then, because you start to look like a watch...

hard to say... I guess quality motors are hard to find? These also use luxury materials and way too many crappy versions of these exist. Why would I wind my $1000-3000 watch on a $50 winder that...

I seen many similar reports too - where motors die within 3-6 month, especially for heavier watches.
