Seems ridiculous until you use it...... Im with the other guys though, without ARL the Appradio is virtually useless. BUT with ARL its as good a head unit you can have.

I think you're missing the point. $280 is *cheap* for a navigation HU, anything in this price range is only going to give you music capabilities.
You can't simply use your phone as a HU or none...
