NewEgg definitely is too promiscuous with these rebates...it seems to me that rebates are a very common con game among manufacturers. They rely upon people forgetting about the rebate or not...

Totally. I would say it was a mistake but the fact that they yanked the rebate info from their site is crazy. I'm sure it was yanked a little while ago which means someone still in the submission...
