I have these.. you are right they do last longer than 1 or 2 weeks.. mine lasted about 2 months.. out of the 7 or so I have about 4 are dead 2 barely working and 2 maybe emits about 50%..

Do yourself a favor and go with actual low voltage landscape lighting. Cost is more, but light is almost non-existent with these kind of lights.
