Mine came with a consistent BSOD with the error "Unexpected_Kernel_Mode_Trap". That was fixed by updating the driver for my wireless card, so in case anyone runs into that

Got mine as well looks new! Did have a slight issue with startup... tryed a few things and seemed to fix itself... Emailed to get windows 8 CD and they transferred ownership and I have 1 year...

Yes, part of the registration is to transfer ownership from Amazon, to you, the customer. Then it is your Dell laptop and then they will fully support you, including sending out any replacement...

it appears that ppl are having problem with win8 and intel's ssd caching on dell's xps8500... those used models most likely are returned due to this issue... the issue is being discussed at this...
