You need to run through the setup program to configure the sound output for your speakers & room. The manual explains this but and it takes just a couple minutes. Great price on the receiver......

Navigating the menu is tricky... Off the top of my head I believe you need to click "Receiver" on the remote, then click the menu button, scroll down to I beleive the last option for Demo Mode and...
