My 2006 Yamaha R6 recommends either 10W30 or 20W40.
Would this 5W40 be too light or otherwise be bad for my R6?

no expert so others can chime in but my bike has what's called a "wet clutch". This means that it relies on the same oil for the engine and the transmission.

Yes, this oil is now labeled as "diesel oil". It was never labeled that way before. If you look at the walmart link below the container is labeled "engine oil" and not "diesel oil". I doubt anything...

I just saw it at Walmart this week - about $21 a gallon for T6, $16 a gallon for T5, and $13 a gallon for T. But Walmart now has the T5 listed online for $12.97 a gallon with free store pickup.
