...or you could take those $15 and put them towards a nice cooler. 2500k overclocks better than the 3570k, but there's a ~7% performance improvement.

If you're overclocking, sure, why not. That's going to be up to you. Doesn't change the fact that unless you use V.Me, this is a bad price on the i5-2500k.

I'm running both the 2500k and 3570k in two separate equivalent machines. I'd be hard pressed to see any difference in performance between both CPU's in typical gaming / encoding usage. I know...

That MC deal for $100 was epic for those lucky buyers... Newegg has never been lower than $200, not really a deal imo.

Unfortunately, not a great deal, considering the i5-3570k is regularly on sale for $200 and under. SabrePC just recently had it for $189. Even with the 10% off on V.me, I'd take a i5-3570k @ $189...

Man they are still milking that 2500k for all money they can get its old processor old stuff should be a lot cheaper then current one.
