I'm using a 7200 rpm hybrid drive and haven't had any issues with overheating. Loads up like a beast though.

Good price for a replacement hard drive to bring a oldish laptop back to life. EDIT: This is really more of a good deal for Xbox 360 and PS3 systems as they only take specific hard drives models....

Yes, but if you have an older model ps3 (phat) then it's recommended you use 5400rpm to prevent overheating.
