you most likely also had it install a tool-bar in chrome - go to the settings -> extensions and see if you can also remove if from there - or did it set your homepage to lavasoft? or just open chrome...

Did it just change your homepage... If so you just need to just change it in chrome settings.

I second checking for Extensions for a toolbar as well as looking to see if it merely changed your default home page to Lavasoft. A going away gift so to speak.

I deleted it through the control panel. I installed it through one of those free software sites. I cant remember what boxes. thanks for the help
