Isn't 5400 RPM pretty slow as far as hard drives go? I would think with the 24 GB SSD and i5, it's actually the 750GB hard drive that's going to be the limiting factor in your speed.

Usually to make the pc boot up faster, the ssd is used. The os and drivers are installed on the ssd. The larger hd drive is for your data. SSD drives are much faster then regular hd drives.
