I called amazon, and they would not price match--you have to pay tax at groupon. The lady i spoke with directed me to a website, and said that groupon wasn't on the list, which it wasn't.

I believe this is the model that is backlit, but, not the Full-Array type of backlit. It uses a similar type and number of leds as the side lit but uses rear light guides, instead of side lit light...

That would explain the thickness. I'm not sure where I read this, but isn't backlit sometimes actually cheaper than edge lit because it doesn't require as many LEDs?

$97 cheaper than Amazon. It has 4.5 stars in the ratings there. Looks like any returns will cost you per the Groupon terms.
