This thing has never sold for anything close to $600. Bought it almost 3 years ago for $325 with the stand. It's a great saw, but this price is only pretty good IMO

I'm a fan of Sears tools but NOT their miter saws. Had one of these and the motor gave out after cutting some 2x6 framing for a house I was working on. If you're going to spend this kind of money...

i have the 10" sliding single bevel version of this. it's pretty solid so i can only imagine what a 12" dual bevel is like. just keep in mind, a 12" miter saw is overkill for about 75% of people....
