What a scam. I had a 3.50 total and when I checked out through PayPal it charged me an extra 30 cents. On the mobile version it didn't tell me the total until after checkout.

Typically the tighter you screw the top nut, the finer the pepper grind. It adjusts how much space there is at the bottom where the grind occurs.

don't buy the wood one. I bought it at marshall's (its definitely the exact same one) and the grinding mechanism is made of plastic so it is not very effective. much cheaper than what I paid for it...

If its the difference between a $30 quality pepper mill with metal gears made in the USA or France, I'd take it over 7$ for a basically disposable (plastic gears) model of unknown quality from China.

I use an old blade coffee grinder for that for when I grill my pepper steak. Ten again i probably grind half a cup of pepper corns which would take forever even in an electric pepper mill
