I think there is nothing wrong with Invicta's product itself for the price they are selling after huge discount. However, I won't wear any Invicta in OP because: (1) Copy the classic design of...

Not sure the validity of this statement. I have a multitude of watches ranging vastly in price and I had a watch similar to this (except it was the swiss quartz with saph crystal) and it held up...

My Rolex Submariner is 40mm. Is that a girls watch?
Post #58030956 added 03-06-2013 8:56 AM by bcg27 in Archived Deals
This is pretty much a submariner 'clone' from a looks perspective. IMO 39-41 mm is the ideal watch size, anything bigger just looks gaudy unless you are a very large person.

yeah, the old ideal classic watch size, as more and more watches have increased in case sizes. I've seen plenty of folks of various sizes wear bigger watches, Invicta, Fossil, etc and they all look...

Do you like it and are willing to pay $45 for it? I have a couple of Invictas in my collection for use at work and they do exactly what they're supposed to, tell me what time it is. People are down...

Have to disagree, owned a Sub Aqua Noma III and had the "flame fusion" crystal chip within a few weeks, chrono also wouldn't reset back to 0. Didn't want to go through repairs with them due to all...

Do yourself a favor and stay away from this garbage if you want a nice watch. There are plenty of nice quality quartz watches for under a $100 and if you want automatic you can get some excellent...

My Sub Aqua Noma III has been an excellent watch, I only wear it 2-10 times a month but it still looks great after 3 years or so. My lightly worn Orient Orange Mako, on the other hand, looks...

Not sure what you mean by crappy. If you like the look and they tell you what time it is - that's all that really matters. And just by looking at the Amazon reviews - they are pretty well received...

Invicta can make some good watches, but I would agree that it's best to stay away from their low end watches. I've owned a few in the past, and they have all busted for various reasons in a short...

I own nearly 20 watches from various makers and I can tell you that Invicta watches are generally a good value for the $$$. My every day beater is an Ocean Ghost 2309 (2309) with a Myota (Citizen)...

Invicta is a good brand. The best advise i can give to you is don't believe everything you read here. Amazon reviews are you best bet. When you see a thread crapper around these deals, there is a big...

I just read an article about Invicta, their entire business model is to trick people into thinking they are expensive watches by putting a ridiculous "list price" and listing their watches 50-90%...

Not a damn thing wrong with Invicta. I have owned an Invicta automatic now going on 3 years and it keeps incredible time, doesn't have a scratch on it, and was less than $100. I can't speak for...

It competes with Rolex, just not very well. :D I was considering one of the more expensive Invicta Reserve watches recently - really liked the look of it. But it was probably going to cost $500...

I have to agree, for the most part Invicta's are a great value. They have a broad price range and have some watches in their assortment well over $1,000.00. The only real complaint I have against...

I have the Invicta automatic (rolex submariner knockoff) and it keeps great times and is built solid. I bought it because I like the style, and feel to it. For under a hundred I can't think of to...

yeah, i guess if your into the classic look, otherwise these do look boring IMO. Prefer a big case diameter, like this one http://www.amazon.com/Fossil-JR1303-Plated-Stainless-Steel/dp/B0058ZALKG

Good everyday beater watch. I have a few Invictas. The automatic version is a decent watch for underm$100. But I got a Seiko automatic diver for a few bucks more. The Seiko is a way better watch....

Could you provide a link to said Seiko watch? I am tempted but if there is a better watch for marginally more I could definitely be swayed.

40MM is the size of a Rolex Submariner, one of the most copied, sought after watches in history. Hardly a girls watch.

We are not down on it because we like $500 watches (not saying that I do not), we are down on it because it pretends to be a Swiss watch company. Seiko/Citizen makes much better watches than Invicta...

40 millimeters is not a girls watch. It is a classic size for a mens watch. Over sized mens watches are around 44 millimeters

agree with this. actual swiss ETA movement fixes a lot of the issues with losing time on the miyota movement. The bracelet is also supposed to be a lot heavier and solid feeling.

I preference in style leans towards over sized watch. I have a few that are 47 and 50. Huge I know, but it's just my own personal style. To each their own.

Yeah large watch cases look as good as XXL shirts on a 150 pound guy.
