Probably cost them more to hire someone to do a thorough testing for each "returned" device (which likely cost less than $20 to make). So they just make sure it turn on, then ship it as "refurb"...

I had this happen everytime I went to youtube and watched anything HD. Router and Bandwidth are overkill for my house as well. Not sure what is up with that. The issue seems to have gone away though.
