You want to make sure you have WPA2 security enabled with a long random key (20+ characters+symbols). Also Turn off the feature called WPS. Unfortunately this model router is vulnerable to the WPS...

It's probably caused by interference by other wireless devices, neighbor's networks, microwave, etc.

first step: plug computer directly in to modem, then do speed test. if it's fast here, then you know router is problem if it's router problem. plug in to router with a lan cable, not wireless...

Okay, that's what I have enabled WPA2, with a good password. I will turn off WPS as well to see if it improves.
