I can tell the difference between my kit lens and my $2000 lens. Whether the difference is worth $1900 more is a different discusion :)

Nice found. Too bad I have a pay tax on Amazon here in CA :crying2: Was the original post of $549 with the bundle or just the lens?
One is wide angle, one is mid-range.

Just bought this from Adorama through Amazon on Sunday, any chance they honor the coupon or is it unlikely sine I bought through Amazon?

This is a great camera lens for Nikon DX line, at less than half price of the Nikon 2.8 lens (which does not even have image stabilization). I have it my self and it is super sharp at the center...

Nice lens for crop sensor. Too bad no FF equivalent except Tamron 24-70 VC which is twice the price.

Does this one have any macro-ish functionality like the 17-70mm? I'm torn between the two.

Thank you so much!!!! I'll stick with the Tamron for now.

I was going to get this lens, however after many hours on the forums, etc. I chose the Canon. The general consensus the Canon is much better. In addition, far too many of these copies seem to have...

I think I'll just wait for my full frame body purchase to get some really nice lens. Until then, I'll stick with sigma for the budget crop body lenses.

I've used the Sigma 30mm and Sigma 50mm before, and I agree, the AF on those were horrible. They were slow and would go back and forth between the MFD and infinity to search for focus. The focus on...

I've been eyeing the 17-50 for a while now, but have the 30mm Sigma as well and never felt the need to add an indoor zoom lens to collection...@ $550, I'm now tempted again to pull the trigger.

We're in a similiar situation. I'm hanging onto my Nikon D90 until the D7100 drops in price. I would say buy it since you'll get immediate utility out of the wider 17mm and faster f/2.8. At 50mm on...

man...its price still has much more room to FALL. Just bought a new Sigma 30mm F1.4 at $200 after all price adjustments from bhphotovideo.com.
My cousin purchased a 35mm 1.4L to photograph her newborn nephew and for her first lens. It is a great lens but not as versatile as having a zoom. Once your kiddo starts walking and moving around a...

Excellent lens for crop bodies. IMO, better than the Canon 17-55mm in all aspects except for color reproduction, but that's an easy touch-up in Lightroom. Even though I shoot full frame now, I'm...

I purchased this lens after doing much research. The reasons for me going with this vs the tamron vs canon were quality price and usage. Best bang for buck. Heck, we're all here for a great deal...

No, it is not designed for FF or APS-H sensors. 1.6x crop only. It will work with larger sensors, but there will be significant vignette present on FF (in particular). On 1.3x crop, it's not too...
